Who we are
A Manchester HIAB company, not a broker
We run our own lorry mounted cranes out of a yard in Miles Platting, and every vehicle goes out with one of our own drivers on it. When you email, you are speaking to the people who own the lorry that turns up.
The reason most of our customers use a HIAB rather than a flatbed and a forklift is simple: one vehicle does both halves of the job. It carries the load to site and it lifts the load off, over whatever is in the way, and sets it down where it has to go. Nobody has to meet us there with lifting kit.
Our drivers are trained to ALLMI and CPCS standards, and we hold FORS Bronze and FTA membership. If a job needs a full contract lift with a method statement and a risk assessment behind it, we can do that too.
Manchester HIAB hire is what we are set up for and what the yard is built around, but the HIABs do not stop at the city boundary. On any given day our lorries are working across Greater Manchester and out into Lancashire and Cheshire, and a fair few of them are a long way further than that.

Common questions
What does a HIAB hire include?
The lorry, the lorry mounted crane on the back of it, and our driver. You do not need to supply a driver, a forklift or a telehandler, and you do not need anyone on site to unload us.
Do you only work in Manchester?
No. We are based in Manchester, but we run across England, Scotland and Wales. A job in Manchester and a job at the other end of the country are planned the same way.
I searched for HIAB hire near me. Does that mean you?
If you are anywhere in Greater Manchester or the North West, yes. The yard is in Miles Platting and our HIABs are out across the conurbation every day, so the nearest one to you is often already working a few miles away. Further afield we still come to you, it is simply planned a day or two ahead rather than the same morning.
How quickly can you get to us?
It depends what is already booked in. Email us with the date you have in mind and we will tell you as soon as we can whether we can cover it.
What if the lorry cannot get alongside the load?
That is the normal reason people come to us rather than a flatbed haulier. Tell us what is in the way, a fence, a hedge, a garage, a row of parked cars, and we will work out whether it can be reached and which vehicle to send.
Do I need to open an account?
No. Most of our work is one-off jobs, quoted and paid per job. A trade account is there if you book regularly and would rather be invoiced monthly.
