Cabins delivered, and set down exactly where they go
A portable cabin is a straightforward thing to carry and an awkward thing to place. It has to end up level, square and on the right bit of ground, and the right bit of ground is usually not where the lorry can park. That is the job a HIAB does properly.
We collect the unit, carry it on the lorry, and lift it into position on chains when we get there. Over a fence, into a compound, between two buildings, onto a prepared base, or on top of another unit. Then we are away, and nobody had to book a separate lift.
We sell portable cabins too, so the unit and the transport can be arranged in one call. If you already own one, we handle the transport and the lift at both ends.

Tell us about the base and the way in
Two things decide this kind of job. The first is where the lorry can stand in relation to where the unit has to end up. The second is what it is going to sit on. Blocks, a concrete pad, sleepers, or another cabin. A stacked set in particular needs firm, level standing, because everything above it depends on the unit underneath sitting true.
Beyond that, mention anything in the way. A gateway, parked cars, an overhead cable, soft ground after a wet week. None of it necessarily stops the job. All of it changes which vehicle we send and how long we need on site.

Can you supply the cabin as well?
Yes. We sell portable cabins as well as moving them, so the unit and the lorry that delivers it can both come from us. If you already have one, we will collect it from wherever it is and put it where you want it.
Do you need anything on site to lift it off?
No. The HIAB crane is on the lorry, so the vehicle that brings the unit also lifts it into position. There is no forklift or telehandler to arrange and nobody from your side has to attend with lifting kit.
Can you stack units on top of each other?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Two high is common and three high is possible where the ground is right and the units are designed to stack. Level, firm standing matters more than anything else for a stacked set, so tell us what the base is before the day.
Can you put a cabin over a fence or a wall?
Often, yes. That is one of the main reasons people choose a HIAB over a flatbed. The boom reaches out and over from wherever the lorry is standing. How far it will reach depends on the unit and the obstruction, so describe both when you email and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Can you collect at the end of a project?
Yes, and it is half the work. Site closes, units come off, either back to a supplier, on to the next site or into our own yard for storage until they are needed again.
