You have bought a pod. Now it has to get in
Most people contact us at the same point. The pod is built, the base is down, and it has finally dawned on everybody that the thing is wider than the gate. That is a normal Tuesday for us, and it is almost always solvable.
We collect it from the maker, carry it on the lorry or on the trailer, and lift it into position when we get there. The lift comes with the lorry, so there is nothing else to hire and nobody else to book. The driver sets the legs down, takes it off on slings, lifts it over the fence and lowers it onto the base while you tell him which way it should face.
We do this for private customers with one pod in a back garden, and for holiday sites and campsites taking several. We are in Manchester, we cover the North West, and we run them the length of the country when the maker is at one end and the site is at the other.

The lane matters more than the pod
Pods tend to live in nice places, and nice places tend to have narrow approaches. The unit itself is rarely the problem. The problem is the gateway with a stone wall on both sides, the branch at head height, the hump on the bridge and the passing place that is not quite a passing place.
So when you email, talk us through the last part of the journey and tell us what is overhead. Send a photograph of the garden and of where it is going. It lets us plan the route and the lift before the lorry sets off.

Pod transport, answered
Do you collect it from the pod maker?
Yes, and it is usually easiest all round. Tell us who built it and when it will be ready, and we will collect and deliver as one job. Most makers load us on their own gear or we lift it ourselves.
Can you bring more than one pod at a time?
Yes. A lorry and trailer takes two, which is how most holiday sites take delivery. If you are opening a site with several units we can bring them over a few runs and set each one on its base as it arrives.
What do you need me to have ready?
The base finished and at the right level, the route to the drop clear, and somebody there who knows exactly where it is going and which way round it faces. Also tell us about overhead cables before the day, not on it.
Will it fit down my lane?
That is the real question and it is worth asking early. Narrow lanes, low branches and tight turns are normal in the countryside. Send us the postcode and a description of the last few hundred metres and we will tell you honestly whether we can get in, and what we would send if we can.
Do you move garden rooms and offices as well as pods?
Yes. Garden rooms, garden offices, treatment rooms and dog grooming pods all move the same way. If it was built in one place and has to end up in another, it is the same job to us.
