One item, collected, carried and lifted into place
Not every job is a full load. Somebody has bought a garden room and it is sitting at the maker's yard. A machine needs taking from a workshop to a unit across town. A water tank has to come off a trailer and go behind the house. One item, one journey, one lift.
That is work we do all the time, and we are happy to quote for it. The same lorry that carries a full load takes one item just as easily, and because it has the lifting gear on the back it can put that item down where it actually has to go rather than leaving it on the drive for you to deal with.
It is also often cheaper than people expect. A single item means less time loading, less strapping and less time standing on site, and time is what most of a job costs. So do not talk yourself out of asking because you think one item is too small to ask about.

Tell us what it is and send a photo
You do not need to know the weight, the dimensions or what sort of lorry it wants. That is our job. What helps us is a plain description of the thing, the two addresses, and a photograph of where it has to end up and how a lorry would get near it.
The lorry always comes with one of our own drivers, so you are not driving anything or lifting anything yourself. Email us, tell us what it is, and we will tell you whether we can do it and what it will take. If we cannot, we will say so.

Will you come out for just one item?
Yes. A single item is a normal job for us and we do them every week. The lorry does not care whether the bed is full, and quite often a one item job is the easiest thing we do all day.
Is it expensive for one small thing?
It is usually less than people expect. A single item means less time loading, less time strapping and less time on site, and time on site is a big part of what any lift costs. Email us with the details rather than assuming.
Does one item need a different sort of lorry?
No. The same lorry that takes a full load handles one item just as easily, and it is the lifting gear on the back of it that gets your item over the fence and into the garden. What a small load needs is the right lift, not a different vehicle.
It has to go over a fence into a back garden. Can you do that?
Often yes, and it is a very common request for garden rooms, pods, sheds, tanks and garden machinery. The boom reaches out and over from wherever the lorry can stand. What decides it is where the lorry can park and what is overhead, so send us a photo of the front of the property and we will tell you.
Can you collect it from a shop or a maker for me?
Yes. Buy it from whoever you like, give us the collection address and a contact there, and we will pick it up and bring it to you. Plenty of our small load work starts at a manufacturer or a dealer rather than at the customer.
What do you need from me?
What we need from you is what the item is, roughly how big it is, where it is now, where it is going and what the access is like at both ends. A couple of photographs are worth more than a paragraph of description.
